Three Kings

We started from painting the background. I put just a few drops of the paint on kids' pieces of paper. Their task was to spread the paint around on the sheet of paper. Then I added a few more drops of the paint, they repeated spreading. Kids noticed that sometimes you don't have to use the hole can to paint your piece of paper:)) And the effect was much more interesting than when they could apply as much paint as they wished.:)

Then we coloured  three kings black (I had cut out the shapes before the lesson- my artists were too little to do it by themselves). And decorated the sky with stars (sequins, star-shaped pasta, glitter) we didn't forget about the Star of Bethlehem.:)

Polar bears

I came across this project on the blog  thatartistwoman. My children love working with stensils, so the project was perfect for them. We watched some polar bears videos, then painted- purple sky and light blue ice,  and white bears (using stensils of course:)

Penguins

Last Friday we had a Penguin Printmaking

project. The idea comes from the blogs

thatartistwoman.org

and linesdotsanddoodles.blogspot.com.

We made the stamps from big (black body) and

small ( white bellies) potatoes. We used the craft
foam to make the snow and clouds.
